B Corp, sustainable alternatives and Merch from HelloPrint

By 2023, HelloPrint has reduced CO2 emissions by 29% to a total of 1,759 tons of CO2e. This reduction is largely due to targeted measures in Scope 3 emissions and increased operational efficiency. An important milestone was achieving B Corp certification, underscoring their commitment to social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. They expanded their eco-friendly product offerings, with 85% of their best-selling products - now - a sustainable alternative. In addition, the introduction of Merch by HelloPrint, a new sub-brand focusing on branded merchandise and promotional products, further expanded their sustainable offerings.

Continued work to reduce carbon footprint

Conversion rates for eco-sales remain low, indicating that more vigor is needed to make sustainable choices the norm. Although 56% of their orders are now produced by partners with high sustainable standards, the ultimate goal is 90%. Logistical improvements, such as an increase in 236% in letterbox deliveries, have - in part - reduced emissions, but continued work is needed to further reduce the carbon footprint. "Our challenges are complex and require concerted efforts at all levels of our organization. But the support and dedication of our employees, partners and customers give me confidence in our ability to meet these challenges," said Isabelle de Wolf, VP of Sustainability at HelloPrint.

Net zero emissions in 2030
The company is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2030 and continues to monitor and reduce its footprint. Goals include ensuring that all packaging is plastic-free and made from recycled materials. The company also aims to provide environmental and social impact information for more than 85% of their products so that customers can make more sustainable choices.

At HelloPrint, we believe that change begins with awareness. Achieving B Corp certification is an important milestone, but it is just the beginning. Our goal is to achieve net zero emissions by 2030, and we will continue to innovate and improve our operations and product offerings to achieve this ambitious goal," said Hans Scheffer, CEO.
