Fashion with impact at My Lima Lima on TMO campus

My Lima Lima and TMO Fashion Business School join forces for a sustainable fashion industry

The Hague | Doorn - April 10, 2024 - My Lima Lima and TMO Fashion Business School (TMO) kicked off their collaboration last week, focused on sustainable fashion and supporting charities. The first fruit of this collaboration is the establishment of a My Lima Lima Hub on TMO's campus. My Lima Lima owners Eloise van Oranje and Thomas Latcham opened the hub on March 12, during Circular Economy Week. In addition to clothing collection, the two organizations will collaborate on research.

The clothing hub aims to provide a platform for donating high-quality clothing and accessories as well as promoting My Lima Lima's 'Give to Empower' mission. The clothing donations are then sold in the My Lima Lima store in The Hague. Profits go to charities such as KidsRights, Everyday People Foundation and the Youth Education Fund. The collaboration between My Lima Lima and TMO embodies the commitment to making the fashion industry more sustainable and taking social responsibility for it. The opening of the hub on TMO's campus also marks the starting point of the "Spring Closet Cleaning" campaign among TMO students and faculty, alumni, fashion entrepreneurs and other stakeholders of the business school. On April 23, 2024, the proceeds from the clothing collection will be handed over to My Lima Lima.

Eloise van Oranje: "This collaboration is really very special because it is the first school where we are opening a hub. TMO's mission fits well with that of My Lima Lima. I hope that many students - and their friends and family members of course! - will donate fashion items for charity. I've already had great conversations with the students here. Really super!"

The cooperation between the two organizations extends beyond the clothing hub in Doorn. Two TMO students began graduate research for My Lima Lima this week.

Thomas Latcham: "My Lima Lima has big ambitions and dreams. We want to have a study done on which growth strategies suit us best. How can we achieve growth while remaining a small-scale organization. And do we do that online or only with physical stores and hubs? Or both? We are going to get answers to these questions from the TMO students."
